Grateful

Since moving to M-Town a little over 12 years ago, I have had the pleasure of being able to look at the ocean when I come home each night. Growing up in Scotia, the only time I saw the ocean was on the occasional trip to Crescent City for a basketball tournament, or on a random excursion with my grandma. I didn't travel with my parents as a child because....we just didn't. I guess they left that up to my grandma. Sometimes I think I went everywhere with her. After all, she was only 1 SMALL block away from us until I was about 12. I could see her garage door from my front yard, and it was always closed when she was home.

Anyway, back to the point of the post. The ocean. I often wonder what it's like to live in a land-locked state, like Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, etc. No "beach" to go to. What's that like?

When I've had a bad day....and I make that turn down the road and see the ocean, I remember how lucky I am to see that everyday.

One bright summer day, it popped into my mind that I was looking at the "coast" of California. Hell, it's the EDGE of the United States! How cool is that??

Hey there! Ya, I know the ocean exists "down there". (lol) I guess it all depends on where you're at.
I've had the blog for a little while, I'm just now getting into it. Like my life does not have enough going on already.

P.S.>>>you are at the top of my list for photographers =) I wish you the best of luck in your venture. I know you have the knack and business smarts to succeed!
